America OneLine: From Paper to Galvanized. Gallery view.

AOL's logo appears to be taken largely from the image on the U.S. dollar bill. Scroll down for my parody on what Paper Version 1.0 might have looked, like enlarged to the size of a garbage can lid. There's also a close-up of the Galvanized Version, shown above next to a garbage can full of the CD's AOL used to mail out, literally by the tens of millions. This piece seemed to have capture what a lot of people were feeling about AOL at the time as evidenced by the amount of publicity it generated. Click here to see one example.
